Green Materials
Bamboo is actually 16% harder than maple, making it a superior material for furniture. Cassama unique line of furniture is handcrafted using flattened bamboo strips. Bamboo is a grass that grows up to 2 feet per day and has an extensive root system that continually sends up new shoots, naturally replenishing itself. It does not require replanting, making it one of the world's most renewable resources. Bamboo holds the promise of a sustainable cost effective and ecologically responsible alternative to the wide spread clear cutting of our world's forests.

You will find full extension ballbearing drawer glides as well as english dovetail construction on every drawer. The Cassama line incorporates many eco-friendly ideas without sacrificing quality. It is made of solid sustainable bamboo and is glued with a non formaldehyde emitting glue. Their water base finish is cutting edge and is also very low VOC without the off gassing of lacquer like most of the furniture in stores today.

They work very closely with their finish supplier who continues to produce the most eco-friendly finish in the world today. Their "eco-ship" program is as green as it gets, using reusable blankets, no styrofoam packaging to dispose of or boxes to recycle.
